人民卫生出版社是中华人民共和国卫生部直属的中央级医药卫生专业出版社,成立于1953年6月1日,是我国规模大、实力强、出版品种多的医学出版机构。1993年被中宣部、新闻出版署评为全国首批优秀出版社。
人民卫生出版社在医学出版领域经过半个世纪的努力已形成了包括图书、期刊、数字音像制品在内的，多类型、多层次、多媒体、品种齐全、结构合理的产品体系，成为我国重要的医学出版基地。
