北岳文艺出版社成立于1984年12月，是出版社科、文学、艺术文化的专业出版社，目前职工近百人。自1984年建社以来，已出版各类图书3000余种，年平均出书达到150多种。
在社会科学和文学类图书方面《赵树理全集》、《张恨水全集》曾入围中国国家图书奖；《东方文学丛书》、《人与自然丛书》、《玉楼梦》等外国文学翻译作品，曾获中国国家外国文学图书奖；历时十年编辑整理的《沈从文全集》，为中国国家九五重点规划图书。
Beiyue Literature & Art Publishing House，established in December of 1984, is a professional organization that publishes books in the fields of social science，literature and artistic culture，and it has a staff of nearly 100 people by now. Since the setting-up in 1984, it has already published more than 3000 kinds of books in the fields mentioned above, with an annual publishing output of more than 150 kinds.
