北京科学技术出版社成立于 1981年10月，立足北京，面向全国，出版多种类科学技术图书，是综合性的科技出版社。
本社目前设有科技图书事业部、现代医学图书事业部、中医图书事业部、大众医学图书事业部、青年图书事业部、生活教育图书事业部共6个编辑部门，拥有初、中、高级配套的编辑人员。编辑出版机械、建筑、计算机、家电、环境科学、现代医学、中医、养生保健、经营管理、励志、少儿、教育及生活等多领域图书。20多年来,已出版各类图书约3000种，其中300多种图书在近几年的图书评选活动中分别获得全国性、行业性及省（市）、市、大专院校的优秀科技图书、优秀教材、优秀科普读物及优秀畅销书奖。
本社已有多种语言文字版图书向国外发行，并先后与欧美、日本、韩国、印度及港台地区开展了版权贸易和图书交易。本社出版的中医保健类及其他具有中华文化特色的图书在版权贸易中受到欢迎。

Beijing Science and Technology Press, established in October 1981, is a comprehensive science and technology press. The press establishes 6 editorial departments which are the science and technology editorial department, modern medical science editorial department, traditional Chinese medicine editorial department, the public’s medical science editorial department, youth editorial department, and the life and education editorial department.
Based on Beijing, serving the whole country and strengthening cooperation with overseas partners , the Press publishes Mechanical electronics, home electrical appliance, computer, architecture, food and drinks, medicine, agricultural technology, living science, management, inspiring youth, educational and children’s books. We combine excellent quality with affordable prices. Aiming at outstanding products, following the newest scientific and technical development in the world, supplying most useful and practical readings and providing advanced knowledge for readers have always been the purpose of our press. Of all the 3000 titles published, more than 300 kinds have been awarded national or provincial prize.
The Press does copyright and book trade with America and Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan Province and Hong Kong SAR successively. Books on traditional Chinese medical health care and on Chinese culture are widely received.
