    The newest results and historical review of the studies on the climate of China are given in the book．which highlights the research achievements carried out by the Chinese scientists over the mainland of China .The aim of compiling the book is to provide more or less complete information about climatic studies of China not only to Chinese，but also to foreign teadeis，who may or may not be familiar with Chinese language，or it is difficult for them to find out the literature in Chines．This book may be usefulalso to the scientists，students，and postgraduate students in the field of meteorology，agriculture geography，oceanography，ecosystem and environment sciences．
